Blowfish

Blowfish

By Donna Carr

I saw a little blowfish, feeding by the bay,
It must have been so difficult as to & fro he swayed.
His body bobbed & twisted, & slammed against the rocks,
No matter how rough the water-his efforts could not be blocked.
I watched him for a long time, as avidly he fed,
But from his task of feeding, he just would not be led!
I whispered to my Father: "I wish I could be that tough".
How often I quit feeding when the going gets so rough!
He spoke into my spirit- "The secret child is this...
if you keep on feeding, you'll sail those seas in bliss."
For I am the Bread of Life,
And no matter what your strife,
The key is just keep eating, soon you'll gain eternal life.
At this simplicity, I sat & cried.
Then I stayed and just admired.
I left there more determined, than I have ever been,
To overcome the darkness, and not give in to sin.
For Jesus peace does speak,
If in the word we seek,
To gain an understanding of this stormy world we're in!
